Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14 NIV)
This week a team of trained volunteers will begin going out into the schools of our region to teach the children about Jesus.
They gathered together at Harvest Church in Finley earlier this month to pray and to offer strength and support to each other.
The main goal of this team is to share their love for Jesus with the children. They want the children to understand they have a God that loves them deeply and wants to be part of their lives.
Jesus in his ministry never turned the children away, He always welcomed them, highlighting how important they are to Him.
Jesus reminds us in this scripture that God wants us to all have that same innocent childlike faith. He tells us that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those with humble, trusting, and dependent faith.
We are so fortunate to have people who are willing to give up their time to fulfil this mission. Let’s pray for God's blessing to be with them as they go into the schools to share their love and faith in Christ.
