U13s: Lost 24-10. Outplayed by a better team in Waaia this week. Poor court positioning and movement let the Demons down. Awards: Magic Scissor - Katey Wilkinson, Mungo’s Repairs - Miley Conn, Colony Inn - Georgia Belling.
U15s: Won 37-28. The U15s had a terrific team win against Waaia, with Jerilderie applying defensive pressure for four quarters. The Dees have been close, but not able to finish off games against the top sides up until Saturday. Awards: Colony Inn - Harmony Patu, KSB Accounting - Alex Patu, Mungo’s Repairs - Katelyn Marshall.
C reserve: Lost 22-25. The Dees had a phenomenal start to the game, with Laura Ham and Tanya Lovehill displaying their accurate shooting in horrible conditions. Once again, Samantha McDonald and Michelle Baker held a strong defence. Midcourters Lucy Fay, Tiffany Sutton, Jasmine Hammond and Courtney Holloway fought hard to keep possession and continued to bring it down the court despite the weather conditions. Unfortunately after leading all day the Dees lost by three goals against a courageous Waaia. Awards: Laura’s Tanning - Samantha McDonald, Colony Inn - Tanya Lovehill.
C grade: Lost 35-45. Emily Ford and Jazz Williams played their best once again in a brave loss.
