Favourites on the night included the Cha Cha ride and the very entertaining chicken races, which proved to be a hit with both children and adults.
“Thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors, many of the fair’s activities were able to be offered free of charge, helping ensure the day remained accessible for families across Jerilderie and the wider region,” committee member Eden Hercus said.
Other free activities included the Chair-O-Plane, jumping castles, Tiny Tails Wildlife Encounters, face painting, airbrush tattoos, live music, Skillzone activities and a twilight cinema experience.
The fair also featured market stalls, showbags, a licensed bar, food vendors and live music, creating a lively atmosphere with something on offer for all ages.
Funds raised from the event will go towards supporting students at St Joseph’s Primary School Jerilderie, helping the school purchase much-needed resources and fund additional opportunities such as incursions and excursions.
While fundraising remains an important component, organisers say the fair is equally about bringing the community together and providing an affordable and enjoyable experience for families in the region.
Organisers thanked the event’s sponsors, volunteers and patrons, and said plans are already underway for next year.
