“Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” (Psalm 100:3 NIV).
This scripture is a profound statement that God created us and that we belong to him.
He is the shepherd of his people and he deeply cares for every sheep in his sheepfold.
In ancient times the shepherd walked in front of his sheep and they followed.
Each sheep knew the voice of the shepherd and they responded to the call.
The Bible describes Jesus as the Good Shepherd.
When a sheep was lost a Good Shepherd would leave the flock and go after His lost sheep.
The voice of the Lord is calling out beckoning to all of His lost sheep to come back to the fold.
If you were once a follower of Jesus Christ but have became separated from the flock then it’s time to come home.
Jesus is calling you back to himself.
He loves you more than you could ever hope or imagine. It’s time to come home.
