Homes Out West CEO Gayle Clarke said while a merger will facilitate further support and empowerment of local communities, people currently being supported by Kirinari and Homes Out West would not experience any disruptions to their services or experience.
“Both organisations have put our tenants and customers at the centre of our decision,” Ms Clarke said.
“We’re absolutely committed to making the transition seamless for the communities accessing our services.
“All current service agreements and tenancy agreements will remain in place and our values and approach to running the organisation’s will remain unchanged.”
Homes Out West manages around 350 properties in communities along the Murray River corridor from Albury to the South Australian border from its two offices in Deniliquin and Albury.
It has been operating within the south western Riverina region since 1984.
Kirinari was established in 1983, initially operating in West Albury.
Support services grew from there, and expanded to provide support to people in their home, work and community.
In 2018 Kirinari merged with Kalianna Enterprises Inc.
Kirinari CEO Diane Lynch said this latest merger with Homes Out West would further enhance the ability to help people.
“Merging provides significant opportunities for both Homes Out West and Kirinari to diversify into new markets and offer expanded services in the communities we already serve – meaning we can empower and support more people in rural and regional areas,” she said.
“The values and strategic objectives of our organisations are closely aligned and are centred around breaking down barriers and creating more opportunities for vulnerable cohorts of people in regional Australia.
“Working in partnership will help us maintain this focus but also allow us to provide more wrap-around supports to people who need it.”
The merger officially took effect this month.
