Traditional Anzac Day services were held in communities in both Berrigan Shire and Murrumbidgee.
In Finley, a large number of community members gathered quietly in the pre-dawn light at the Finley Memorial Park.
They bowed their heads to remember those who have served, those who are still serving and those who made the supreme sacrifice in war to give us the freedom we have today.
Finley RSL Sub-branch president Jeff Ward welcomed those present and thanked them for keeping alive the importance of Anzac Day.
Lay preacher Myra Cowell gave an interesting address before the Benediction, telling of her experiences while travelling many of the overseas cemeteries and memorials to the fallen.

At the conclusion of the service, Mr Ward invited veterans, their families and the public to a Gunfire Breakfast at the Finley RS Club
Later in the morning, veterans, school children from Finley and Blighty, sporting groups and Scouts formed up and took part in the annual march.
Led by a local police vehicle, they marched down the main street to form up at the Finley Memorial Park for the mid-morning Anzac Day Service.
The catafalque party - made up of members of the School of Ordinance at Bandiana, Albury - then took their place at the cenotaph for the service to begin.
School captains from Finley High, Finley Public School and Finley St Joseph’s Catholic schools took part in the ceremony before an address by the guest speaker Lieutenant Karl Metzger.
Mrs Cowell again represented the clergy with Benediction before the playing of the New Zealand and Australian national anthems.
