National bodies and local innovators will come together at 4pm on Tuesday, March 3 for the Committee for Greater Shepparton’s first major event of 2026: Health Innovation in the Goulburn Valley.
The event, hosted at the The Woolshed at Emerald Bank in Kialla, will celebrate Goulburn Valley Health’s achievements in bringing innovative and specialist services into the area, such as Victoria’s first regional cochlear implant and children’s allergy services.
C4GS chair Leigh Findlay emphasised the importance of these developments.
“Health innovation underpins jobs in manufacturing, agriculture, education, technology, construction and professional services,” he said
“If we can help people avoid unnecessary travel, get specialist care closer to home and return home sooner for recovery and monitoring, that’s better for families, employers and the whole community.”
Attendees will include the Australian Dairy Products Foundation, the Australian Food and Grocery Council, the Murray Primary Health Network and an array of local innovators specialising in fields such as advanced prosthetics and sports medicine.
