Gilbert Bain Footy Day

The day is named after Blighty Football Club legend Gilbert Bain, who played, coached and was on the committee for a number of years.

Bain attended on the day to provide his own tips and advice to the youngsters.

The students enjoyed themselves immensely and the first half of the day’s play and drills was all in good spirits and fun.

The travelling coaches, Jackson and Jeremy, did an almighty job to remember all the kids names and treat them to their expertise through drills they had set up.

Lunch was provided in the form of a sausage sizzle before they all got stuck back into more footy fun.

The afternoon saw more drills for the kids from Jackson and Jeremy and then topped off by a longest kick competition between the students and adults.
