The first will be at Finley TAFE on Monday, October 19 and the second in Coleambally on Tuesday, October 20.
The four-hour ‘Artificial Intelligence for Beginners’ workshop will give participants practical experience in using AI tools safely, responsibly and effectively and is designed for people with little or no AI experience.
Participants will learn what AI is, how it works and how tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot can save time, boost productivity and support everyday tasks.
Murrumbidgee Council Mayor Ruth McRae OAM encouraged residents to take advantage of the opportunity to build practical digital skills in a supportive learning environment.
“Artificial Intelligence is becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life and work,” she said.
“Whether you're running a business, working in agriculture, involved in a community organisation or simply interested in learning something new, this workshop will provide practical skills you can start using straight away.
“It's important that regional communities have the opportunity to understand and benefit from new technologies.
“This workshop will help participants build confidence in using AI tools while understanding how to use them safely and responsibly.”
Participants should bring a laptop or other internet-enabled device to access online resources and take part in workshop activities. Register at https://events.humanitix.com/foundation-ai.
