Current chair Phillip Snowden and director Lachlan Marshall will be re-contesting their seats.
Other nominees are Michael Clark and Brendan Barry.
Mr Barry was a director on the previous board. He was one of three who resigned last year after a failed attempt to remove the independent directors from the board.
Mr Snowden said he wanted to renominate as he is “buoyed” by the direction the company is heading in, and by the positive feedback received during July’s shareholder meetings.
“The current board has put a lot of work into updating Murray Irrigation's strategy to focus on issues that we as a company can influence and control, and to ensure we are in the best position possible to weather the impact of buybacks,” Mr Snowden said.
“There has been a lot of great discussion at the July shareholder meetings around the strategy, and we are hearing positive feedback that the company is heading in the right direction and is focusing on the issues that impact shareholders, and have for a long time."
The member director election will be conducted via an electronic voting platform between 9am on Monday, September 1 and 9am on Monday, September 29.
Details on how to vote and voting eligibility will be sent directly to shareholders.
Murray Irrigation deputy chair Geoff McLeod is encouraging all shareholders to read the candidate statements provided prior to casting their vote.
“If you have questions for the eligible candidates, I encourage you to call or email them to discuss," Mr McLeod said.
“A stable, well-rounded board is crucial to building a strong and profitable company, so it is important that all shareholders take the time to consider their decision, and vote for the best interest of the company moving forward.”
The two Member Director vacancies arise from the four-year rotation of these positions, as required by the company's constitution. Successful candidates will start their term after the 2025 AGM.
