Moira FoodShare is operated by MHA Care Limited and is run by a coordinator and a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers.
All of the volunteers have been trained in food handling and safety.
This community based organisation supports farmers, single parent families, people who are out of work or individuals and families just finding the going tough from time to time, within the community and surrounding rural areas.
Moira FoodShare is available at the Finley Showgrounds each Thursday between 10am and noon.
Donations of food items, and especially excess fruit some residents may have on their trees at the moment, would be much appreciated.
These can be taken to the Finley Showground on Thursdays by 9.45am for distribution.
Volunteers would also be most welcome.

Following the item included in last week’s ‘From Finley’, Greg Tunn and Jenny McNamara (Maxwell) have been successful in contacting Nancy Powell thanks to the wonderful help of a local resident.
Nancy was delighted to receive the call and has indicated that she will definitely be attending the Finley High School Class of 1972 reunion which will take place on Saturday October 8, 2022.
Greg and Jenny are thrilled to have had such a high success rate — almost 100 per cent — in contacting members of the 1972 Year 12 class.
They are looking forward to the catch-up weekend.

The Finley Show is only one month away, on Sunday September 4.
It is time to finish your craft work and sort your photos.
The schedule is available from the SRN office, post office, newsagency and on the Show Society website.
Be sure to check the closing dates for each section.
The show office will be open from 10am on Tuesday, August 30.

The committee will be holding a street stall on Friday, August 12 from 8am.
As well as the usual home baked goods, there will be three raffle prizes on offer — a load of firewood, a fire pit donated by Pether AG and a Whitton Malt House voucher.

Finley and the surrounding communities can rest assured the future of Berrigan Shire is in good hands if the students and teachers at Finley High School are any indication.
Members of the Student Representative Council, Mrs Parr and Mrs Tobin, along with all the staff who supported them on Friday during the MND fundraiser are to be congratulated on the great success in raising $5000 for the cause.
An assembly was held informing students and staff about MND before heading out to the oval for the MND freeze activity.
Remi Pyle and Zye Treadway were extremely delighted to get the opportunity to pour the container of iced water over school principal Jeff Ward.
Several other teachers bravely made themselves available to give other students the opportunity of providing a ‘deep freeze’.
However, the teachers all had several rubber duckies to keep them company.
