Coinciding with the visit from the Men’s Health Education Rural Van (see page 25), Finley Rotary had a good response to its appeal for used mobile telephones.
These will be used to assist victims of domestic violence in conjunction with DV Safe Phones.
This will be an ongoing project for Finley Rotary Club, so if you have an old mobile phone you would like to donate, it can be left with any member of the local club.
Rotary will be asking Finley businesses to wear the purple shirts this Easter Thursday to continue raising awareness of domestic violence.
Rotary is also calling for nominations for their Citizen of Distinction award. Speak with any member.

Patrons of the Tuppal Hotel were reportedly entertained by an amazing young duo recently.
Known as The Curry Mob, 12 year-old Mika and 10 year-old Blue gave a country music performance for diners and drinkers.
Several reports have been received from those in attendance.
The sister and brother duo were accompanied by their parents Mick and Joy, and came to Australia from the Philippines in 2023.
They have already made a name for themselves by winning the 2025 Tamworth Golden Gig which is open to children 17 years and under.
The youngsters are on tour and were heading from Finley to Numurkah to entertain senior citizens and will return to a booking in Berrigan.
Apparently, it’s not all fun and games. They are homeschooled by their mother and made to keep a journal by their father.
