Feedback invited on RiverConnect strategic plan

It has also been responsible for the extension of the shared paths to the Flats and the bridge over the Broken River.

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said the region was lucky to have rivers and wetlands on its doorstop.

“You can go for a walk along the Flats, canoe on the Goulburn River, bike ride on the Yanha Gurtji shared paths or simply relax with some fishing and enjoy the great outdoors,” he said.

“We want to be able to take full advantage of the value of our river system and the environmental, economic and cultural significance it has.

“RiverConnect would like your feedback on our Strategic Plan so we know what you would like to see in the future.”

The RiverConnect program is co-funded by Greater Shepparton City Council and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.

The strategic plan outlines priorities and programs to achieve the RiverConnect vision, to connect people with local rivers and wetlands.
