I am completely surprised to see Independent candidate for Farrer, Michelle Milthorpe, in some predictions considered to be the likely winner, after preferences.
Because as I see it, when voters vote, they are not only looking at the future of Farrer, but of Australia as a whole.
And they want to elect a candidate who is part of a party that has policies that can address the very important issues facing Farrer and Australia.
Issues such as: Water allocations, fuel supplies, energy production, defence preparedness, immigration numbers and standards, healthcare, education. The list goes on and on.
Under the present fuel crisis, water allocation crisis and what is becoming a national crisis.
The last person Farrer needs is an Independent with no connections, no party support; not able to hit the ground running and strongly put forward the needs of Farrer and Australia.
Even worse would be as Milthorpe is backed by Climate 200, this would see Farrer covered in permanent polluting, solar and wind factories.
I would urge the voters of Farrer to think very carefully in placing their vote and preferences.
To elect a candidate who will rise to the occasion, and make a deciding difference to Farrer and Australia’s future.
Yours etc.
