Through quiet leadership and genuine care, she enriched the lives of those around her and has had a generational impact on the region.
C4EM board chair Tim Ford said the scholarship would be awarded to a woman from the Campaspe or Murray River Council local government areas this year.
The initiative will provide financial support for the recipient to pursue education or training that adds to the strength and stability of the region’s hospitality industry.

“The scholarship reflects Corale’s belief in the power of people, opportunity and community,” Mr Ford said.
“Supporting women who demonstrate passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the industry while giving back to the region they call home.”
The scholarship winners, to receive $500 each, will be announced at the committee’s IWD event on Sunday, March 1, to be held at Rich River Golf Club’s Tatalia Room.
C4EM encouraged businesses, community members and industry peers to nominate deserving women who embody Mrs Oberin’s values, and have potential to meaningfully contribute to the industry locally.
Nominations for the scholarship close at 5pm on Thursday, February 12, with more information available at c4em.com.au/projects
