With homes lost and communities displaced, the initiative aims to deliver essential items directly to those in need.
The drive is being coordinated from the Coleambally Masonic Hall, with drop-off times set for this Thursday between 10am and midday.
Organisers say the response so far has been generous, but more help is needed.
“We’re collecting baby and children’s clothing, toys, books, kitchenware, and personal care items like nappies and toothpaste,” said Bec Fraser, one of the lead organisers.
“Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.”
Local businesses are also being encouraged to contribute, particularly with bulk donations of dog food, dry pantry staples, and bottled water.
The initiative reflects Coleambally’s strong community spirit, with families, farmers, and local shops pitching in to support their southern neighbours.
