The Demons started well, managing to keep Dookie to only six points for the first half.
The third quarter saw Jerilderie continue to apply around the ground pressure, with Kane Hawkins impacting every contest he was involved in and Max Diffey providing plenty of drive out of the backline.
The midfield gave the forwards plenty of opportunities with Lachlan Taylor-Nugent getting on the end of three goals.
The last quarter saw Dookie try and mount a comeback kicking five consecutive goals in 10 minutes but the damage was already done, allowing the Demons to come away with the win.

It was a tough game for the Dees against a full side of strong Dookie boys.
Despite this, the players showed plenty of talent and determination, as they do every week. The effort this young team continues to produce is so admirable.
The second quarter was the Dees’ best, with passages of strong marking and direct kicking. The score board didn’t reflect the intent the Dees displayed.
The ever-reliable older boys are growing each game. A big thanks to the fourths players who play up every Saturday.
Final score: Jerilderie 4.1 (25) def by Dookie 17.8 (110).
Fourths:
The under-14s came up against a strong and skilful Dookie side who came out firing from the first bounce.
The Demons were under real pressure in the first half, with Dookie pushing hard and making repeated entries into their forward line.
Despite that, the players showed incredible grit, laying multiple tackles and putting their bodies on the line to contest every ball. That determination kept Dookie to just five goals by half-time - a great defensive effort.
At the main break, the players were challenged to lift the pressure on the ball carrier and limit Dookie’s forward movement, while also hitting the scoreboard. The players responded brilliantly.
By three-quarter time both challenges were achieved, restricting Dookie to just two goals for the quarter and the Demons also scored a well-earned goal.
Heading into the final quarter, the side took the same game plan.
Dookie came out fast with a couple of quick goals, but true to form, the young Demons dug in, tightened up, and didn’t allow the game to blow out.
They kept pushing and were rewarded with another major on the board.
Final score: Dookie 10.4 (64) def Jerilderie 2.1 (13).
