The Darlington Point Riverside Caravan Park is a popular destination nestled on the picturesque banks of the Murrumbidgee River.
The change marks a new chapter in the park’s development, with the council eager to deliver a high-quality visitor experience and drive tourism growth in the region.
Previously operated by lessees, the park will now be managed directly by council.
Jessie Burns, a passionate and hands-on team member, has been appointed as the park’s new caretaker.
She brings a strong background in outdoor work, having spent the last six years running her own gardening business.
“I love keeping busy and meeting new people. Every day here is different, and it’s a beautiful location to work in,” Ms Burns said.
Jessie Burns has been appointed caretaker of the park.
Council’s general manager John Scarce welcomed Ms Burns to the role and said the change in management aligns with council’s long-term vision for the park.
“Darlington Point Riverside Caravan Park is one of our region’s tourism jewels, and we are committed to enhancing the visitor experience,” Mr Scarce said.
“Having Jessie on board is a fantastic step forward. Her energy and love for the outdoors make her a great fit for the role.”
