The five projects target improvements for community and tourism facilities, and will receive funding under round one of the 2025 and 2026 program’s major grants stream.
They are:

Council chair administrator Graeme Emonson said the grants program played an important role in supporting local community organisations.
“These grants are designed to support groups that offer diverse and inclusive services, facilities, events and activities to benefit the community,” Dr Emonson said.
“Community organisations are vital to what makes Moira Shire a great place to live, and this program empowers local groups to bring their projects to life.”
An application from the Katamatite 150th anniversary celebration committee in this funding round was referred to the quick response stream of the community strengthening grants.
The committee received $5000 towards the town’s anniversary celebrations.
