Despite the name of the organisation, male and females are always made most welcome as members.
This is a safe and supportive venue to take part in a variety of activities or even just sit and chat with a friendly face.
Whilst at the moment men outnumber women, it is hoped that this will change as more women become aware of the many activities already taking place.
Suggestions for new activities are also welcome.
President Gavin Butcher said he would be delighted to see more women join the two ladies who already enjoy the facilities.
The Finley MenShed was established in March 2010 after a visit from members of the Deniliquin group, who explained the advantages of physical occupation and mental health.
In the years since, Finley MenShed has raised enough funds to purchase the land on which it is situated and contribute generously to other organisations in the local area.

The collection and recycling of cans is the major source of income, followed by the sale of beautiful fresh veggies which are lovingly grown by some members and can be purchased at ‘Nev’s Gate’ - named for Neville Cole, the main veggie tender.
Such is the camaraderie, areas including ‘Ken’s Corner’ are fondly named after some members.
Please feel free to call at the shed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8.30am and noon to purchase the produce and have a chat with Nev.
Other times can be arranged by appointment.
Other activities undertaken at the MenShed include woodwork, restoration of furniture, metal work (their above ground garden beds are very popular), ceramics, leather work and many more.
They also work closely with the local Second-hand Shop.
The oldest member will turn 93 years today, while the youngest so far is 52.
However, there are even younger participants at the shed at times with many friendships made through community service programs.
The Finley MenShed continues to give back to the community, both mentally, physically and financially and Mr Butcher would be delighted to welcome new members any time.
The group is particularly in need of a qualified electrical technician to carry out some repairs and maintenance.
If you would like to join this amazingly friendly and active group, feel free to call at the shed and have a chat, keep your mind and body active and make great friends.
