Following on from a big loss the previous week, the Toc reserves were keen to make amends and put on a good show against Rumbalara.
With a few new faces and a couple returning from senior duty, the team looked a lot more settled with everyone able to play in their typical positions.
Finally able to put in a strong start, the Bloods came out firing, kicking six goals in the first quarter. Rumba had no answer to the high marking ability and goal scoring in the opening 20 minutes.
Coming in at the first break high with confidence, the Bloods knew the job was nowhere near complete and needed to continue their efforts to win the four points.
Rumba came out after the break and applied much more pressure around the ball, and despite the scoreline they put together some great passages of play and took confidence into the main break.
Toc restated the message to play as a team and remain strong in the back half and, as the game went on, they managed to maintain enough pressure to run out 128-point winners.

The thirds boys were up and about and working well as a team in the pre-game warm up.
Their intensity and teamwork carried into the game, and they dominated quickly, converting their effort and hard work into goals.
This continued throughout the game, with every player contributing with positive energy.
Our midfielders moved the ball with confidence and skill from the middle into the forward line, and were consistently met with dominate forwards who skilfully marked or gathered the ball with strength and were able to block the ball inside our 50 more often than not.
The backline stood strong and kept Rumbalara to one goal and throughout the game.
