A total of 65 juniors, along with 25 adult guardians, travelled to the iconic MCG to watch Richmond and Hawthorn clash.
For many of the juniors, it was their very first AFL match, making it a very memorable experience.
The atmosphere was absolutely electric, with some of the Blighty travellers wearing the Redeyes gear and their seats perfectly positioned beside the Hawthorn goals.
While the Hawks ran away with the win, there's no doubt everyone had a great time, with some even getting a snap with some of the players.
The club thanked everyone who attended, assisted and organised the day to make it such a success.
National alert test next week
A national test of AusAlert will take place next week.
AusAlert is Australia’s new national emergency warning system, delivering urgent alerts direct to mobile phones and devices in affected areas.
It enables emergency service organisations to quickly and accurately reach people when it matters most.
A nationwide test of the system will take place on Monday, July 27 at about 2pm AEST.
The test will be for a critical alert, which means you’ll receive it even if your device is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’. The alert may stay active for up to an hour.
If it’s not safe to receive the AusAlert national test on your devices, turn them off or put them in aeroplane mode at least one hour before the test and for 24 hours after the test.
Link up over coffee
The next Deni Social Link catch up is tomorrow, from 10am at Harry Pepper Coffee in Deniliquin.
The coffee mornings offer a relaxed and welcoming space for conversation and connection.
The sessions are usually held every fourth Saturday of the month, from 10am to 11am.
Whether you’re new to town or a long‑time local, everyone is welcome to come along for friendly discussion, a free coffee and a sweet treat.
Author visit at the Deni Library
Aviation enthusiasts and book lovers alike, author Kathy Mexted is coming to the Edward River Library in Deniliquin.
Next Friday, July 31 from 11am, attendees can listen to the author talk and hear about her books 'Take Flight' and ‘Australian Women Pilots’.

Spoilt for choice
Footy and netball lovers will have their hands full this weekend with several Deniliquin and district teams playing at home this weekend.
The Rams are at Hardinge St Oval against Echuca United, the Rovers are at Memorial Park against Katunga, and Blighty hosts Mathoura for another enticing local clash.
As such, there is the opportunity for a form of spectator crawl between the venues.
There are also extra events on with Blighty’s fixture against Mathoura being a Mental Health Match for Beyond Blue initiative with funds raised going towards Beyond Blue’s support service.
At Memorial Park, its the Rovers Sponsors’ Day - an annual event to thank club sponsors. There will also be a goods and services auction after the game.
