The early start and cool weather didn’t stop the many people who turned up at the Finley Menshed premises on Saturday morning for the auction.

It took place to raise money for mattresses and bedding for those affected by the recent floods in the Lismore area.
There was a huge range of items on sale with Jeremy Bell and Greg McNamara, the volunteer auctioneers, keeping the customers amused as they moved along.
Reg Rowley, manager of the Finley Caravan Park, was delighted with his purchase of two horse buggies.
He intends to display them at the park and was only too happy to contribute to such a worthy cause.
Well done to Finley Lions Club, whose members played such an important role together with the Finley Menshed group and the auctioneers.
It took a great deal of time and effort to organise the event.

The Finley RSL Sub-branch would like to thank all the participants and the public for making the Anzac Day 2022 ceremonies a great success
Special thanks need to be directed to certain people who ensured the day went off without a hitch:
Rick Shaw (guest speaker), Lorraine Edwards, who substituted at short notice for Fr Lu and did a great job, Noel Cardwell and his scouts assisting with the donation collection, Lawrence Walsh of Berriquin Funerals for the P/A system, Craig Hendy volunteering to be the lead singer on the day, the Finley RS Club for the Gunfire Breakfast and lunch refreshments, Anne Freestone who year-in and yeat-out compiles and prints the programs for both services, Bob and Ken Bevan for the supply of the jeeps.
The list goes on, as there were so many who offered their time and effort to ensure the day was a success.
The organisers hope the Finley public enjoyed the day. Once again, a big thanks to all!
