Tonight is one of the more exciting nights in the council chamber, as councillors prepare to adopt the 2026-27 budget, which will determine funding allocation for council assets and services over the next 12 months.
It also gives a brief outlook of the next four years of capital works and upgrades.
Council is also expected to give a response to Toolleen community members who put in a petition earlier this year requesting council accepts ownership of the Wayside Stop and toilet facility, currently on crown land.
In the agenda, the recommendation laid out for the councillors is to reject the request; however, councillors can come to their own determination.
Those keeping up with the Wilf Cox and Kyabram Recreation Reserve renovations will be interested to tune in to hear the outcome of the engagement done late last year.
Councillors will be asked to formally commit to addressing the key priorities raised by Kyabram community members and recreation reserve user groups of the recreation reserve.
