All funds raised through the initiative will help fund vital care, equipment and research at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
The cause is one that is close to the Torrumbarry community’s heart, with a few local kids having been treated at the Royal Children’s Hospital over the years.
Torrumbarry area appeal manager Melinda Taylor said the small community always dug deep for the cause.
“We’re a very small town, but we do some amazing fundraising,” she said.
“Last year we raised over $25,000. For our little town, we did pretty amazing.”
In addition to donating to the CFA members and volunteers door-knocking for donations, community members can also contribute in other ways.
Raffle tickets for the major raffle are already on sale for $2, with more than $3000 worth of prizes up for grabs, all of which have been donated by local organisations.
The raffle will be drawn on Thursday, April 2, at the Gunbower Family Hotel from 8pm.
While online ticket sales will close on Wednesday, April 1, tickets can also be purchased on the night from 6pm.

An Easter egg hunt will also be held at the Wattle Creek Estate on Good Friday with the local CFA truck to be onsite for any children wanting to take photos with the firefighters.
The event will run from 8am to noon, with the Easter egg hunt to kick off at 9.15am.
To ensure there are enough Easter eggs on the day, bookings for the Easter egg hunt are essential.
