The 10am march was well represented by both schools and organisations within the town, who joined the ever-shrinking group of ex-servicemen, to march proudly from the town centre to the Cenotaph.
They were watched by community members who gathered for the wreath laying ceremony and the reading of the names of servicemen from both World Wars who had made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) will be in Jerilderie again on Friday, May 23 from 9.30am to 4.15pm, and Saturday, May 24 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Operating for over six years, the van has travelled regional and rural NSW offering free health check-ups to people “who haven’t seen the inside of a doctor’s room since they don’t remember when!”
Aimed mainly at men, who don’t look after their health as well as women, but open to women also, the service is offered in a relaxed, confidential and informal setting.
The MHERV registered nurse conducts the tests and discusses any health concern in the privacy of the van.
The last visit to Jerilderie unearthed a few conditions which required follow up with the GP, and maybe saved a life or two.
The van will be next to the Vet Clinic.

Jerilderie Uniting Church members wish to thank the volunteers from all denominations who helped to make sandwiches for the successful kids’ camp held recently at the racecourse, and for the cakes and slices donated for morning teas.
Without all the volunteer helpers, the event would not have been as successful.
