It is understood at least three Jerilderie women had the misfortune to be approached by a person purporting to know their business and family backgrounds, and persuading them to purchase items from him at a cut price.
Apparently Jerilderie isn’t the only country town to be targeted, so please be aware and take precautions.
It is not only on the internet and your mobiles where scammers lurk!
At one establishment the so-called salesperson was caught on CCTV, but so far the police have not been able to trace the offender.
He was in an unregistered vehicle at the time of the Jerilderie ‘transactions’.

Services NSW Mobile Service Centre will be in Jerilderie today from 9am to 3pm at Memorial Park, Powell St.

The Jerilderie Hospital Auxiliary will meet tomorrow at 2pm, in the meeting room at the hospital.
It would be lovely to see as many members as possible at this meeting, as the April meeting was a non-event possibly because we were all over stimulated, with Easter and Anzac Day being so close together this year.

St Joseph’s School community had a lovely Mother’s Day celebration with staff, students, mothers, grandmothers and friends gathering for the special day.
