Until Tuesday, June 17, shoppers can show their support for FightMND by purchasing a $25 beanie at any Coles supermarket.
For every Coles fresh Aussie pork product sold in-store or online in that time, Coles will also be donating 10 cents to FightMND.
FightMND co-founder and AFL legend Neale Daniher said the supermarket’s support had been a welcome aid to the cause.
“At FightMND, we’re deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Coles and their customers,” he said.
“Their dedication helps drive crucial research and fuels hope for those living with MND.
“Big Freeze 11 is about living it forward.
“By pulling on your Big Freeze beanie, you’re making a real difference.”
Over the past seven years, Coles has helped raise more than $40 million for MND research and care initiatives, putting Coles at the top of the ladder of corporate givers to the cause.
Coles chief commercial and sustainability officer Anna Croft encouraged customers to get behind the cause.
“Coles’ annual fundraising campaign for FightMND is one that our customers and team members are incredibly proud of and love getting behind each year,” she said.
“Over the next few years, many of our team members will recreate the Big Freeze in their own small ways in Coles stores across Australia, as well as support local community fundraisers for FightMND.
“Together, we can bring hope to those affected with MND and move closer to finding a cure.”
