Following success in the Victorian Tourism Awards, Go Adventure Nagambie also struck gold in the 2025 Australian Tourism Awards recently held in Perth.
It is the first time any business in Victoria has won two national awards in the one year.
The Nagambie tourist business run by former Stanhopeite Lee Rowland and his wife, Kymberleigh, and daughter Lilly were winners of Adventure Tourism Retail and also Hire and Services categories in the Aussie awards.
“Winning one title was a dream for us, so winning two was beyond our dreams, not even something we could have imagined was possible,’’ Lee said.
‘‘When our name was called out twice it was overwhelming.
‘‘To walk away with two golds in the same night is something we will remember for the rest of our life.’’

Juniors join rodeo
Deniliquin Rodeo has added a junior rodeo to its main event on April 4.
It will run from 4.30pm before the main attraction and is restricted to under-18s.
Those contemplating competing can get in some practice the day before, Good Friday, when a mechanical bull will be in action at the Deni RSL Club.
It’s a bucking good time in the Riverina over Easter, with Finley also staging a rodeo on Easter Sunday.

Square dinkum
G’day.
My new car has a button for pretty much everything that the car does, including the comfort of the driver and passengers. There’s even a button that says “rear wiper” ... but I’m still far too afraid to try that one.
Hooroo!
