Berrigan Shire Council CEO Cameron Boardman, Jenny Robertson, Alex Christopher from Transport Heritage NSW and museum president Syd Dudley.
The inclement weather last Sunday did not deter residents of Finley and the surrounding area from attending the special open day held by Finley Pioneer Railway Museum Inc at the station, following extensive renovations.

President Syd Dudley held a short official ‘reopening’, welcoming Berrigan Shire Council’s new CEO Cameron Boardman, Alex Christopher representing Transport Heritage NSW and all those in attendance.
He went on to thank all those local groups who have assisted financially with the updating of memorabilia and the hard physical work carried out by the volunteers to bring the opening to fruition.
Many were delighted to see Jim and Jenny Robertson in our midst once again.
Lorraine Edwards, Jenny Robertson, Judy Rourke.
Jenny was very active in the early days of establishing the precinct and gave an interesting talk of how it all came about.
And, of course, Jim is well known as a former principal of Finley High School.
Jenny told of how the trains stopped coming to Finley almost 40 years ago and the many uses the building was used for over time.
At one stage, with the help of Jill Webster, the Railway Station was used as a Finley Community Neighbourhood House which was used one to two days per week by the Finley High School children with behaviour problems.
A social worker came over from Deniliquin and the children felt it was their own special environment.
It was also used by the members of Finley Tidy Towns as their meeting house and place of special events until 2008.
A trip to the museum will tell the complete history of the importance of the establishment of the railway in Finley and further information can be obtained by contacting Syd Dudley on 5883 1677.
Jenny and Syd both expressed their thanks and appreciation for the assistance given by Berrigan Shire Council with the formation of the original museum and the recent work carried out to update the presentation.
