The Finley Lions Club project of installing a new columbarium at the Finley cemetery is slowly coming together with the wall completed and the niches expected to be installed in the near future.

This new structure will complement the existing one which has nearly reached capacity and is a great addition to the facilities.
Two seats have also been installed for the comfort of families when visiting the final resting place of loved ones.
This is another great example of the contribution of the Lions Club to the welfare of our community.

Easter services at the Finley Uniting Church, Coree St, will be held on March 29 (Good Friday) at 10am.
The service on March 31, Easter Sunday, will also start at 10am.
All welcome to attend.

The Finley Combined Churches will once again be holding a Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday morning at 6.30am.
It will take place at the Finley Lake on the Riverina Highway side, and all are welcome to attend this special service.
Those attending are advised to wrap up well as it can be cool and bring along a torch and folding chair.
After the service, breakfast will be held at the Uniting Church Hall and will be prepared by the Community Church parishioners.

March 30 – Holy Saturday – Easter Vigil with Lighting of the New Fire and Sung Eucharist – 6pm St. Alban’s Tocumwal.
March 31 – Easter Sunday – Sun Eucharist with Renewal of Baptismal Vows – 8.30am St. Alban’s Tocumwal – 10.30am Holy Trinity Finley (with Easter Egg Hunt).

Please keep in mind the presentation ‘Unlocking Hope No. 6 – Understanding Dementia’ which will take place at the Finley Returned Soldiers Club, 63-67 Tocumwal St on Thursday April 11 – 10.15am for a 10.30am start.
The Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance has engaged guest speakers Kylie Titlow and Helen Lewis who will seek to clarify the mysteries of My Aged Care Home Care packages and help those attending to better understand how to use them to their advantage.
Kylie is operations manager at Finley Region Care and Helen is community care co-ordinator at Finley Regional Care, having worked in the aged care sector for more than 23 years.
An invitation is extended to residents of Barooga, Berrigan, Tocumwal, Finley and surrounding areas to attend. An RSVP to (03) 5883 9600 would be appreciated but is not essential.
These enlightening presentations are proving to be very beneficial to many families in the Berrigan Shire.
