I would like to take the opportunity to thank the numerous individuals who have provided me with encouragement and confidence in the direction that the Murray Irrigation Limited board has taken since I became a director, particularly over the last 12 months.
Deciding to seek re-election was not taken lightly.
It was the feedback I received from family farmers, and genuine, good community people, that swayed my decision to run in this election.
Like me, they are people who want to see water delivered on the farm, water that drives our business, our communities and provides a future for our children and their children.
I believe in the future of irrigated agriculture and that we need to continue to listen to what our shareholders want.
Shareholders have asked for value for delivery entitlements and for inflation on fees and charges to be minimised.
I am proud to say that the Sustainability Product delivered a total benefit of $2.8 million to those customers who participated, a value equivalent to about $8.22 return per DE.
If re-elected, I look forward to working for you, the shareholder, to listen and deliver outcomes that keep you and your family in business.
Yours etc.
