While the name is catchy, the clinic aims to bring the same services to Tatura that they provide at places like Shepparton Lifestyle Village, giving pet owners who find it difficult to get to the clinic a chance to have their animals seen.
“For a while now, we’ve offered a service to Shepparton Lifestyle Village, running house calls to clients with their pets,” Dr Brett Davis said.
“It gives us a sense of helping a community, and we thought we’d trial it in other towns like Tatura, which recently lost its local vet clinic.”
Local pet owners can expect standard consultations, including health checks, vaccinations, worming and nail trims.
Services requiring general anaesthetic — such as surgeries, dental procedures, or radiographs — will be scheduled for a later date and referred back to the clinic.
“Some minor procedures can be done at home, such as fine needle aspirates of lumps, collecting blood for testing, or ear cleaning in manageable patients,” Dr Brett said.
“All of these things can be discussed, and as always, we do our best to provide contextualised veterinary care to help provide the best outcomes within the needs and means of patients and their carers.”
