With eight changes to the side, the team started off with good pressure and contest work around the ball.
Unfortunately, with late changes to the side due to illness and work commitments, the Redeyes were under the pump and finished with a 29 goal loss.
Coach Kyel Bain gave credit to the players who came up and did a fantastic job against a well-drilled side.
“The two thirds boys who stood up, Henry Michaels and Ethan McLeish, fit into the side comfortably and played well,” Bain said.
“Rhys Holden was giving us a good target at centre half forward and Luke Hay was once again outstanding.”
Bain said at times the side’s ball movement was good, but there are a few simple skills they still need to work on.
The work of the midfield lifted form last week and fought after half time, never giving up until the final siren.
