Under 17s
Roos 34 def by Raiders 65
The girls came up against a classy and skilful team on Saturday. The Roos went in with the ‘nothing to lose attitude’ and stuck to the basics. Defensively they had a good game, attacking the majority of the balls and working hard to get the ball down the court. In the attack end, Soph and Steph combined well and put up some beautiful shots and trusted each other. Our midcourters had a tough game coming up against quality opponents but they kept working through the traffic all game. All in all, was a tough loss for the girls, however the young Roos are still fighting for a finals spot.
Club 1: Taleaka Dickins - Great game Tal. Worked at 110% for all her time on the court. Caused a lot of turnovers!
Urban Graze: Savannah Lewis - Great talking game Savvy. You directed play and worked hard to transition the ball down court.
SportsPower: Stephanie Sutcliffe - A strong presence. Worked hard on the body and your voice was pivotal for the team!
Canteen: Eloise Black - Didn’t get the clean turnovers but worked hard every minute of the game to create confusion for the opposition.
