Best rink of the day went to Rick Bradbury, Paul Glanvill, Jack Buckman and Rachel Glanvill with a strong 21-14 win.
Roger Reynoldson, Barry Hutchinson, Alex Dalgleish and Graeme Parr also performed well, taking their match 24-17.
Division 3 went down to a strong Numurkah side, with two of the three rinks suffering narrow losses.
Darron Freund, skipping Gayle Reynoldson, Robert Tuck and Geoff Blake, fell just two shots short.
Peter Blake, Paul McVicar, Greyd’n Davis and David Fox were defeated by four shots.
Overall, Numurkah proved too strong, winning 50-72.
In Division 5, Myles Humphries skipped his rink to an excellent comeback, fighting back from 7-16 down to secure a 20-all draw.
Val Chisholm’s team put in a valiant effort against a strong Wunghnu side, but Berrigan went down overall 32-41.
In Midweek Pennant, Berrigan faced a powerful Wunghnu team at home, going down 30-84.

Finley
Last week’s Midweek Pennant round was always going to be a tough assignment against ladder leaders Numurkah, and Finley eventually lost all three rinks, 41-83.
In Weekend Pennant, Division 2 travelled to Barooga on Saturday but came home with a disappointing loss on all three rinks, 47-83.
Division 4 were away to Numurkah, and this game was a highlight of the weekend.
They came home with a 58-56 win.
B Wike’s rink won 24-18, N Barnes’ 24-13 and B Ferry’s rink scored 10-25, for Finley to remain second on the ladder.
In the men’s A-grade singles semi finals, B Smith def N Barnes and D McKellar def J Finnerty to advance to the finals on Friday, December 4. There will be a 4pm start.
In the ladies’ A-grade singles, H Tabe def R Steinfort and will play the winner of the match between N Smith and O Cochrane.
