YMGCR Mens Nine Holers
Tuesday’s game of Par was a tale of two courses with scoring on the Blue somewhat easier than on the Lakes.
It was Ross Watson who won on the Blue with a highly respectable +4, edging the ever consistent Joe Scibberas (+3) with local golfing legend Billy Hidson finishing 3rd with a +2.
Behind them was Dominic Fotia who edged Kerry Pendergast and Graeme Eberle on a countback with +1 with ball prizes going down to square.
On the Red Ray Pritchard will continue to incur the handicappers wrath with his +3 enough to take the win with Doug Fasoli edging John Mason on a countback on +1.
With ball prizes going down to -3 scoring proved somewhat difficult for most players with many balls being lost into the lake on the 8th from the temporary new tee box.
What a difference a day makes as scores were much better on Thursday as Digger Dunne won on the Blue with a solid 21 points with Peter Dowie just missing out on 20 points.
Following close behind was John Mason and Bruce Anderson (19) with Dave Holdsworth edging Artie Massey and Evan James on a countback on 18 with ball prizes going to 16.
On the Red Peter Mansfield had a day out with 21 points leaving Geoff Burgess wearing the bridesmaid dress again with an excellent 19 points off his handicap of 8.
Leading a three-way countback was Dave Hall who edged Denis Beale and Dominic Fotia (18) with a five-way countback headed by Kerry Pendergast (17) from Ted Latta, Joe Scibberras, Ribs Reimer and Bomber Mitchell with John Haigh and Terry Duffy claiming the ball prizes on 16.

Wednesday, July 27 - an overcast cool morning greeted the ladies, but eventually there was a little sunshine to warm us. Some great scoring on both courses.
