MB match committee chairman, Jack Dell, said the decision had been taken to move the first two rounds of matches to the spare days scheduled for replays of weather-affected matches.
Mr Dell said the season will start with the round 3 matches scheduled for October 29 (midweek) and October 30 (Saturday).
Round 1 matches will be played on December 17 and 18 and round 2 will be played on February 25 and 26, 2022.
“Of course, we cant be definite about these dates, but we are hoping they are feasible,” Mr Dell said.
“We will have to be flexible for the entire season as we are at the mercy of State and Federal Government restrictions.
‘‘Who knows what might happen in the next five weeks.”
Division 2 Saturday pennant has two more games than other divisions and it is proposed to play round 15 matches on November 20 and round 16 on January 8.
State events have also been scheduled, but will also have to be flexible to meet Covid restricrions.
Mr Dell said he and the other match committee members were hopeful a full season can be completed, and meanwhile bowlers are able to practice, but not play competitions.
