Hill Top Golf and Country Club welcomed an 88-strong field for Sunday’s Lipshut Law and Lipshut Plumbing Golf Day.

While a two-day stay and play package in Corowa was on offer for the winners in both the men and women’s competition, there was one four-wheeled prize on the par three ninth that had competitors swinging truly - a $25,000 MG SUV.

Despite the tantalising prospect of driving away in a new car, the elusive hole-in-one remained just out of reach, with Dave Cornwall reportedly coming closest with his tee shot.

Playing four-ball stableford, the mother-daughter partnership of Larysa and Megan Phillingham dominated the competition with 48 points, finishing three clear of runners-up Dwayne Urban and Mark Brandwood.
