Rich River Golf Club president Peter Boek and chief executive officer Shane Gloury joined players to officiate the “opening of the season”.

Gloury was successful in running the first hoop. Enjoying the game, Boek headed to the second hoop and eventually evened the score. Fourteen players then took to the the courts to play singles.
After three games, Helen Brierley was the clear winner as the only player to win all games. On a countback, Doc Ryant was runner-up over Sandra Retallick, both on +5.
