This week was a nail biter. The Cats went out strong and competitive from the start with a nice lead against Tongala.
The Cats are starting to gel and grow confidence as a team and this week saw the girls implement new plays and strategies up and down court.
Due to illness Finley had Kate Purtill debut.
The club is very proud of her and impressed with the effort she puts in. Jess and Georgia Davidson came in with late notice and slotted in perfectly.
The Cats ended up going down due to errors and pressure.

C-Grade: Finley 21 def by Tongala 59
Finley went down this week to Tongala, their goalers were very strong with great accuracy.
Finley fought hard in every aspect of the game. Defence was outstanding as always and the attack end had really good team work.
Thanks to the girls that filled in for the Cats.

C-Reserve: Finley 62 def Tongala 22
The Cats came back after the split round a little bit out of sorts but soon got back into their rhythm.
With great passages of play through the centre third as well as both ends of the court, there was also some areas of our game that Finley need to work on at training in the coming weeks.

Under-17s: Finley 22 def by Tongala 62
Finley started with a really tight game with everyone working together.
Very good defensive down the court and amazing shooting by Addi Clarke and Joey Coombs.
Finley fell short by half time onwards but amazing work by all the girls.
The Cats would like to thank Charlie Hurlston for coming home to play, Addi Clarke, Paige Gray, Charlie Rafferty and Liv Thompson for stepping up and playing a tough under-17s game.

Under-13s: Finley 17 def by Tongala 22
Unfortunately Tongala was a little bit stronger on the day for Finley’s under-13s.
Maisie Armer shot beautifully while Piper Pyle had some great movement through the mid court.
Maddy Price never gave up in defence and attack. There were lots of positives with some great defensive pressure from everyone down the court.

Under-11s:
Awesome game for Finley’s under-11s this week.
The Cats completed lots of strong drives and passes down the court and worked really well together as a team.
The defensive pressure was awesome and the girls are showing more improvement each week.
