Gyms, indoor pools, yoga and dance studios are allowed to reopen from June 13 under revised state Coronavirus restrictions.
Community centres, including their recreational facilities can reopen as well.
Patronage is limited to 100 people in an indoor venue, and 10 people per structured class.
The one person four square metre rule applies at all times, regardless of the venue.
Equipment must also be sanitised after each use, and gyms are encouraging no workout without a towel policies.
Finley Community Gym is planning to open its doors from June 15, with strict new training conditions and health measures in place.
“We should be able to track how many come in and out of the gym with the fobs we use,” committee member Paul ‘Flippa’ Dundon said.
“This week is a bit of a tidy up for us, some house cleaning to get it all up to scratch and get it all under control with the measures we have in place.
“We're pretty keen to get back in there. We have new equipment like our trap bar and medicine balls which barely got any use before the lockdown.
“We're unlikely to ever surpass the indoor grouping numbers, so it will likely be business as usual for us - with the enhanced cleaning and sanitisation measures of course.”
Tocumwal's Trigger Performance will also reopen on June 15, and also say the capacity limitations will have little impact on their existing operations.
“The restrictions won't affect us too much as we have always chosen to run small class sizes. It will largely be business as per normal with just the rules of distancing,” TP owner Jamie Haynes said.
Berrigan's 2712 Fitness will also open after the weekend.
“We are back into the swing of things from Monday, June 15, with small group training and personal training,” Matt Gorman said.
“We can't wait to start and get as many people back into the gym as possible to achieve their fitness goals.”
Jerilderie Community Gym is yet to announce an opening date.
The next trigger point for sport will be July 1, from when youth sporting competitions and activities will be allowed to resume.
The return date for adult community sport activities has not yet been announced by the federal or state government.
