Jerilderie travelled to Wunghnu on Saturday and were beaten for the first time this season.
Wunghnu presented their venue in top condition and made the most of a good start and won all three rinks.
Both John Bryce and Terry Chaplain’s rinks went down by eight, Lucy Gurciullo’s going down by five.
The Australia Day weekend gives the pennant a weekend off leaving two rounds before finals start.
Finley BC
There were no celebrations for Finley from pennant over the weekend.
On Friday, Cobram was simply too good and won on all rinks and earned a 95 to 45 shot win.
There are only two more rounds to be played and with no bowls on Friday, round 13 will be played on Friday, January 31 when Finley host Cobram.
On Saturday, Katandra proved a worthy winner at Finley, scoring 115 shots to 79.
Ash Haines’ team was the only winner for Finley, 28 to 23.
Round 13 is at home against Nathalia on Saturday, February 1. All teams chosen will be displayed on the notice board.
President Graeme Close expressed special thanks to the Berrigan players who assisted with the top dressing of a green last week adding that it’s fantastic to have inter-club support for special projects.
The green will possibly be playable in four weeks time.
The annual Quadripartite will now be played on Wednesday, March 4, a day that was set aside for the Ladies Trade Day fixture.
Teams previously entered have been contacted and further entries are being called for.

This event always produces a high standard of bowling and is a good spectacle for observers.
Plans have already been drawn up for the Ellis Thornton Rotary Day, any combination fours and pairs medley, which is open to all bowlers.
For all club events, Nan has asked that bowlers check the notice board regularly and enter entries early to assist the match committee in organising the draw.
The final of the Murray Bowls section of the Victorian Mixed Pairs Championship was won by Nan Smith and Ash Haines, defeating Joe Luci and Jan Anders (Numurkah) by two shots. They will now play other division winners in the section soon.
The best card from social bowls on Sunday was Ron Pentland.
The men’s Champion of Champions Pairs section will be played this Saturday.
Gordon Haines was unable to match Ian Smethurst in the Champion of Champions semi-final match on Sunday.

Tocumwal
Friday Pennant round 12 saw Division One finish as close winners at home, defeating Finley RS by one shot, 73 to 72.
Division Two travelled to Barooga and were defeated 73 to 62.
Round 13 is scheduled for January 31 with Division One playing an away game against Cobram and Division Two will be at home against Nathalia.
Saturday Pennant round 12 saw Division One defeated on their home deck by Numurkah, 101 to 74.
In Division Three Tocumwal 3 picked up an 85 to 62 shot win at home against Finley RS, while Tocumwal 2 were beaten 78 to 60 when visiting Numurkah Golf.
Saturday Pennant round 13, scheduled for February 1, will see Division One host Strathmerton.
In Division Three, Tocumwal 2 are playing an away game against Wunghnu and Tocumwal 3 are playing a home game against Jerilderie.
Monday Mixed Social Bowls was cancelled this week due to weather conditions and much needed rain.
New bowlers are welcome to Monday Mixed Social Bowls. 9am for a 9.30am start. Casual wear and flat soled shoes. Bowls are available at the club.
Barefoot Bowls was also cancelled this week due to rain. The next Barefoot Bowls will be Monday, February 3 at 5.45pm for a 6.30pm start.
Finley RS
Finley RS Club have a Division Champion with Ian Smethurst winning the Murray Bowls Division section of Champions of Champions.
Smethurst defeated Gordon Haines (Finley) in his first round and then defeated Gerald Rothe (Barooga) in the final to take out the title.
Good luck to him in his next quest to win the honour of being State Champion.
Division One Saturday had a win against Numurkah 104-84. They are now second on the ladder.
Division Three went down to Tocumwal 85 to 62 and now sit fifth on the ladder.
Midweek pennant went down to Tocumwal by one shot, 73 to 72. They sit fifth on the ladder with only two more games to play.
The draw for the ladies handicap singles in on the board.
Finley RS bowlers Warren Blanch and Rod Brown have also been selected to play in the regional challenge.
Berrigan
The Saturday Division Two pennant team had a solid victory last week, defeating Numurkah at Numurkah 104 to 83.
Graeme Clements’ rink of Roger Reynoldson, Rob Beard and David Fox were the best performed rink on the day winning 29 to 12.
Paul Glanvill won 29 to 22 and Barry Hutchinson won 25 to 17.
Matt Hansen was defeated 32 to 21.
The win moved Berrigan to third place with two rounds to play.
Next week is the Australia Day bye. The following week, Berrigan play top team Picola and a win for Berrigan would all but confirm a spot in the finals.
Division Four travelled to Numurkah Golf where they were narrowly defeated 43 to 40.
Roy Edwards’ rink of Ross Turley, Myles Humphries and David Reynoldson won 24 to 13 while Alex Dalgliesh lost 30 to 16.
Berrigan remain in fourth place and after the Australia Day break travel to Numurkah again.
The Friday pennant team had the bye last week and with the Australia Day break do not play again until January 31 when they travel to Picola. Berrigan sit on sixth place on the ladder.
The Berrigan Australia Day tournament has been scaled back to a one-day event on Saturday, January 25.
The format is four games of 10 ends of two-bowl triples, any combination. Cost is $75 per team with spots still available.
There were 12 bowlers present for social bowls on Sunday. The winning team was Gary Seamer, Val Chisholm and Beth Bashford.
