In blustery conditions goals were hard to come by at the start with the Saints kicking two goals to Picola’s one.
The Saints used the wind in the second to generate seven goals to Picola’s two to head in at the half 41 points up.
The Blues came out after the half playing a stronger brand of footy and didn't allow the Saints to score a major while kicking two of their own.
Berrigan responded well in the last term however again utilising the wind in the last to blow the Blues away.
Although against tougher opposition this week Adam Way was again dominant in the air and continued his good season while Berrigan playing-coach Lee Schmidt was his usual damaging self around the ground setting up the play and hitting targets.
Will Robinson, Kyle McQualter and Harley Middleton were dominant around the centre of the ground with plenty of driving run.
Tom Walliss is starting to get back to his peak after a late start to the season and kicked a tremendous goal from the boundary after trying to unselfishly pass it off while it was his brother in Ted that top scored with four goals up at forward.
The Saints have been playing some good footy of late and will be looking forward to playing Strathmerton once again in the second qualifying final.

The Berrigan reserves finished their season undefeated and three wins clear on top of the ladder after crushing the Blues by 86 points.
Although the Blues only registered two points it was a tough battle around the stoppages, with the Saints' cleaner ball use and superior defensive work being the difference.
The onball brigade from Noel Baxter and the 47 year-old birthday boy in Adam Fox were unstoppable underneath and outside the packs.
Steve Morgan was again tough with his steaming runs out of defense while Cam Hall was just as tough marauding around forward of the square.
Tommy Burns has started to peak at the right end of the season as has his passionate coach in Damon Ferguson who equally top scored up forward with Andrew Pyle with three goals a piece.
The Saints now take on the Deni Rovers at Waaia in the second qualifying final on Saturday, August 24.

The Saints fourths came agonisingly close to playing finals, narrowly defeated by second placed Picola United by four points.
After being three goals down after the first quarter Berrigan dug deep to stay within a goal for the rest of the match.
Hamish Cameron was able to pip Matt Whelan for best on ground this week while Darcy Pyle and Xavier Fox were again hard at it.
Jeb Meyervale was industrious while Zac Ferguson top scored with two majors.
Final score, Picola Utd 6.4 (40) to Berrigan 6.0 (36).
The Saints finished the year ninth on the ladder, just one win outside the top eight.
