Finley's A grade had a hard fought home win against the a strong Tongala opponent in round 16 of the Murray League on Saturday.

Tongala never gave up but the Cats extended their lead in the last quarter to come away with a 16 goal win.
Ruby Russell combined beautifully with Chelsea McDonald in goals, while Savannah Wilson and Wynta Brain get better and better every week. A great team effort.

Tongala broke through the Cats defense in the second half to take the win against in B grade.
Despite another great first half by the Cats, Blues attack was simply too organised and quick in the second, pulling away to take a 10 goal win.
They fought hard, and showed great patience when attacking, but Tongala were just too strong when they had possession.
Abbey Machonachie had a cracking game in defense and the ever reliable Emma Hurslton put in another outstanding performance in GD in her 250th senior game.

A strong Tongala C grade side rolled past Cats on Saturday in big win.
After having played Tongala not that long ago, the Cats weren’t looking forward to playing such a strong opponent again but to the team's credit they came out firing.
The Cats never gave up the whole game and it was one of the better team performances especially with superstar Kirsty Clarke running the centre and keeping the game flowing from defence to attack.
Every week she comes out and inspires her team mates with her drive, tenacity and fearlessness.

Despite strong vocal teamwork by Finley, the quick footed Tongala raced away with the win in the Under 17s.
The Cats set their sights on completing the game with as little penalties, good crisp passes and to have a loud presence on the court, however, Tongala matched that and finished the game with a strong win.
Finley came out firing with a quick three goals to take the lead in the first quarter and were only down by one at the end of the quarter.
Piper Doyle was at the other end of the court in GK, where she was able to 'direct traffic' and combined well with Isabella Kelly to rebound, cover the shooters and get many turnovers.
Lucy-Jane Burdon was asked to drive strong and fast on the centre pass and down the court which she stepped up and did.
Shianne Mason and Annabel Middleton shared WA and were quick for the centre passes and fed the ball in well to the shooters.
Isabel Alexander shared WD with Lucy-Jane where she was asked to drive fast, beat her opponent to the ring and have strong passes which she did.
Elle Rochford played Centre and was able to give and go down the court.
Micaelie Price and Sarah Orro had tough opponents, they tried their best despite the high physical contact on them throughout the game.
Tongala are third on the ladder but the Cats were able to reduced the score from the last time they played them, seeing this as a strong improvement throughout the season.

Finley's U15s came up against a very tough Tongala side but to the Cats' credit they never gave up, unfortunately finishing the game with a loss.
Ever reliable Morgan Evans was fantastic in defense and through the mid court giving great direction to her team mates.
Although Stella Mason stepped up into an unfamiliar position, she showed great passion and provided a great option through the mid court.
Cassidy Reynolds once again played a great game in centre, putting a lot of pressure on her opponents.
The defense was bolstered yet again by Jordan Gray, who was unstoppable, taking a lot of intercepts and even talking to her team mates in the ring giving great direction.

Finley's U13s left their home ground with an impressive one point victory against the Blues on Saturday.
From the outset the game was setting up to be a thriller for the spectators.
It was the Cats best team performance for the season with the whole side contributing to the terrific win.

The U11s Kittens had a fantastic game against Tongala with both teams evenly matched.
There was nothing in it with the game ending up in a draw.
Paige Gray was once again tremendous across the court, as was Lexi Armstrong, Remi Pyle and Zahlia Lawler.
Addison Clarke played a great game in centre.
Lilly McNamara continues to improve every week. with Matilda Kelly's defense earning her high praise from the coach.
