Occupation: Journalist (Am currently filling in at the Pastoral Times).
Where were you born? Shepparton
Who do you find most inspiring? Maybe my mum. She is always there helping people out, and if the chips are down, she is always on your side. She is also there to cheer you along when things are going well as well.
What was your childhood ambition? When I was really little I wanted to be a truck tyre changer. Very specific — I know. My grandfather had a truck company and all my boy cousins wanted to be truck drivers so I thought I would get in on the act too. Coincidentally, I’m not that great on changing the tyres on my own little car (although I can do it) so I don’t know if it would have been the best career move. I wanted to be a journalist by the time I hit Year 12 though.
What is your most prized possession? My photos. They all hold such precious memories of family, friends and times I have spent travelling.
If you could invite three people over for dinner, dead or alive, who would they be? I’m going to go with two here — my friends Urs who lives overseas and Gemma who lives in Bendigo. We never all get together any more other than on FaceTime.
Last movie you saw? It has been years since I went to the cinema. I think the last movie I saw there would have been The Greatest Showman.
Favourite holiday destination? I can’t narrow this down to just one. I have visited so many amazing places. Among my favourites would be Killarney in Ireland, Isle of Skye in Scotland, Cinque Terre in Italy, Barcelona in Spain and London in England. I have also travelled a lot of Australia. My favourite state to visit is Western Australia,
What is your favourite meal and drink? I love a good curry. And for drinks, wine or cider depending on my mood.
What are you doing this weekend? I think I will take some time out to read my book.
Something people might not know? This is not my first stint in Deniliquin. I actually started my journalism career in Finley many moons ago and for about a year of that I spent a day each week working at the Pastoral Times.
If I won the lotto I would: Travel the world.
