The Australia Day Awards recognise and celebrate the contributions of those who make a positive difference across Benalla Rural City.
Categories include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Group of the Year, and Community Event or Project of the Year.
Benalla Mayor Cr Bernie Hearn urged residents not to miss their chance to highlight the people who help shape our community.
“These awards shine a light on the dedication, passion and generosity of our local heroes,” Cr Hearn said.
“With nominations closing soon, I encourage everyone to think about the individuals, groups or projects that make Benalla Rural City such a strong and connected community and take a few minutes to nominate them.”
Eligible nominees must live in Benalla Rural City, or volunteer most of their time within the municipality.
Nominations should clearly demonstrate the nominee’s contribution and impact on the community.
“Whether it’s through volunteering, leading initiatives, or inspiring others, we want to hear about the people and groups who make a real and lasting difference,” Cr Hearn said.
Submitting a nomination is simple. Forms can be completed online via www.benalla.vic.gov.au/
