Students show sporting spirit

Outfits paid homage to sports like SuperCross, AFL and the Australian cricket team, as well as local sporting clubs.

Fictional sports like Quiddich, from the acclaimed book franchise Harry Potter, were also celebrated.

Principal Darren White said the day was a success with many students being involved.“Given the cancellation of interschool activities due to COVID restrictions, the SRC wanted to give students the opportunity to still celebrate sport and all that it offers to children,” he said.

“AFL, basketball, soccer, athletics, horse riding, bull riding, motorbike riding, netball, dance and many other sports were represented across the school.

“It was a wonderful initiative by the student representatives council to keep the spirit of sport alive.”
