Older members of the community and people with special needs have found it difficult in the past to enter and leave the pool because of the usual style of steps.
However, there has been one set of custom made steps installed which will now allow people of all ages and abilities to access the pool.
This was done at a cost of $1200.
The committee is looking at installing a second set and would appreciate any assistance from the community.
To take full advantage of this accessory to the swimming facilities, the committee would like to introduce free water aerobics to help with fitness and mobility as well as a social outlet.
Starting tomorrow, a trial period is being set to take place each day from 4.30pm to 5.30pm and further information can be obtained by contacting Maureen Shalders on 0409 831 676.
Family season tickets to the pool are available at $180; single season tickets $95 and one off entry fee is $5.
The pool complex will be closing a little earlier this year due to extensive building renovations, which are expected to be completed by the end of June.
The next Finley Swimming Pool Committee meeting will be held this evening in the board room of the Finley RS Club commencing at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
