The event will take place this Friday at Jerilderie Civic Hall from noon to 5pm.
Cr McRae said the events will focus on bringing the community together to make sure we all have the skills, knowledge and motivation to face the future challenges of the drought.
“Our community is really doing it tough at the moment, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of the services and support that are available to them.
“The events are for the entire community as everyone has been impacted by the drought,” she said.
“These events will be a great chance to hear from the experts about what’s out there.
“It will also be a day to de-stress a little with some free pampering from beauticians, hairdressers and massage therapists.
“Most importantly, it will be chance to catch up with friends and family, eat and drink, and share a few stories.”
Guest speakers on the day will include representatives from Active Farmers, a wellness/dietitian coach, education experts (looking at getting back into the workforce, retiring and other options), Rural Investment Corporation (low interest Drought loans and Farm Investment loans) and a local Rural Financial Counsellng Service representative.
